Where to play Disc Golf in Tasmania
Tasmania holds a special place in Australian disc golf history, featuring the country's oldest course at Poimena Reserve, established in 1985. The island state offers excellent disc golf experiences from the championship-level 18-basket courses at Poimena and Burnie to unique wilderness play at Rivers Edge and the challenging Wallaby Hill course in the Huon Valley.
With diverse playing environments spanning the north and south of the island, Tasmania provides a mix of public, free-to-play courses alongside special destination venues. There are also reports of a potential new course recently developed in the Launceston or East Coast area that may not yet be listed in official directories.
